As an avid reader of YA novels who also happens to be Indian, the paltry exploration of diversity within this genre has always been a very personal issue. Constantly seeking some discourse on race and sexuality in novels at the very forefront of this genre, has resulted in little more than frustration and indignation. Its often hard to believe that there are people who find an annual death match that pits kids and teenagers against each other in a bloodbath, and presents it as entertainment, an easier concept to swallow as opposed to Katniss not being white. Therefore I would like to commend you on this particular selection of novels, and also thank you as I now have some new additions to my endless book bucket list.
